Where have all good comedies gone, and where are all the gods?

So, the reviews for Get Smart are coming in, and, not surprisingly, things aren't looking too good.  The Love Guru, by the way, is doing even worse.  Many reviewers were, however, thoroughly impressed with Colbert's performance.  Again, I'm not terribly surprised.

Oh well!  At least Steve's appearance on last night's show was hilarious.

Comedians like Steve Carell and Mike Myers, though you really can't compare the two, are so funny and charming off the cuff.  It really makes you wonder why they can't seem to pull off something better on the big screen.  And by "pull off something" I am in no way suggesting that Steve drop trow at some point in his next film, unless he's really that good at it, as Jon seems to think.

That's it!  A movie about Steve Carell screwing his way to the top!  Starring Steve Carell!
