Angelina Jolie Responds to Allegations of Media Censorship
Last night, Jon asked Angelina about the story BoingBoing reported yesterday on whether journalists were required to sign agreements limiting the content of questions prior to interviews and whether those that did not sign were denied access. Here's her response:
While it seemed incomplete to me, she acknowledged some of the facts and placed blame on her handlers, who she said meant well. She did say the documents overreached and that she would not have authorized it herself. She did seem to indicate she thought there was no coercion and no harm done.

True, but she didn't address the heart of the issue, whether it was OK with her to have reporters sign the limitations beforehand. She said it wasn't "mandatory," but come on, she's placed many limitations on interviews before - as do other stars. There are strict rules for glossy and women's mags when they interview celebs. It seems disingenuous for her to say she wouldn't have gone that far, that it was all her representatives doing... They are hired by her and work for her. The directives come from the boss.
